College Call Sheet

Staincliffe Call Sheet

Phonecall to Staincliffe Hotel

We contacted the Staincliffe to try and confirm a booking of one of their function rooms. This was to give the correct backdrop for the film noir that we were creating:

The conversation was along the lines of:

'Hi, I was wondering if a media group from Hartlepool Sixth Form College could use a function room to film some of our coursework. We won't disturb anyone and be very grateful'

Sin City Opening Sequence Analysis

  • The colour scheme is set from the opening frame, showing the story to be dark and gloomy; with red  then being used to symbolize blood and show contrast.
  • The opening frame shows a city setting, then changing to the title screen to reinforce the setting is a city named Sin City.
  • Cartoon drawings are then used alongside actors names to remain true to the theme and relate to the highly fiction storyline (cartoon strip).
  • The last shots show directors names with no background, showing important and the title sequence is coming to a close.
